My future profession (Economist)
Plans for future is a problem that worries not only me, but my friends, classmates, parents and teachers. The reason is that at the age of 17 we have to make a very important choice in our life – the choice of a profession. On the one hand, I’m adult enough to have an opinion of my own about what I’m interested in and what I’m good at. On the other hand, at this age we lack life experience and our desires sometimes don’t coincide with our possibilities. That’s why it’s very important to have somebody to give us a piece of advice. Such people are our parents, teachers and friends.
As for me, I want to be an economist. I like to read books of economics, research articles and analyze them. Nowadays this profession has become one of the most useful, modern and interesting. Also, I want to study economics as I’m very interested in current economic processes both in our country and in other countries. It’s not a secret that our country (Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia, Kazakhstan) is now through a difficult periods of times. That’s why it’s very important for our country to have efficient economists to raise our economy at a high level.
I hope that I’ll be a good economist. Like many other people I would like to spend a year abroad working as an economist. It would give me an opportunity to borrow the experience and to see the world.
So, I’ll do everything to become a good economist and I’m sure I’ll never regret my decision to follow this career.
My future profession 2 (Art director)
There are plenty of different professions. Some of my friends want to be doctors, others want to be lawyers or journalists, some want to become designers, IT workers.
But I’ve always had a particular interest to advertising. So, I’ve already decided what I want to do, when I grow up. I want to have a job where I can apply my creative skills. I`d like to have a job of a creative director in an advertising agency.
If you want to be a good art director, you need to be creative. The way advertisement motivates people to do something what they actually didn’t plan to do is fascinating. I also strongly believe that work of creative director can be compared with art. A good advertisement is really an art object.
I strongly believe that if I am persistent and ambitious, everything becomes possible. However, I`m absolutely convinced that without good grades at school the success in one’s future career is out of the question.
My future profession 3 (Interpreter)
A child usually dreams to be a doctor, a teacher, a firefighter or even an astronaut in the future. These professions are very important, so it is wonderful when child’s dream comes true and he or she becomes an expert in the particular field, for example, in medicine.
I think that everyone should work. It may be easy or difficult work, well-paid or low-paid. However, what is even more important is that the work must bring the joy. Of course, the salary is important nowadays but if you are not happy with your job, the salary will mean almost nothing. In this case you should find something else, something that will make you smile. This work even may become just a little addition to the main job.
My dream is to become an interpreter in the future. Why have I chosen this particular profession? The answer is quite simple. I like studying foreign languages and cultures. When I study a new foreign language, a new world seems to be opened to me. I can find something unusual, unique, fascinating or even strange there but it is the wonderful experience.
The profession of an interpreter gives you an opportunity to meet new people from different countries or social groups. It teaches you to make decisions right here and right now. It is the experience that you cannot get even being a translator, for example. This is the main reason why I want to be an interpreter.
I will do my best to become an interpreter in the future because this is the work that can make me happy.

2 Doctor
There are many interesting and noble professions. I want to be a doctor. It is an interesting profession.
I understand that it is necessary to study a lot to become a doctor. I also understand that this profession requires great responsibility because it deals with the most precious thing that a person has — with his health.
My mother and my grandfather are doctors. My grandfather is working as a surgeon in a hospital. I have been several times at the hospital and spent some time watching him working.
His main task is to operate on the people. After each operation he takes care of patients until they are recovered.
He listens very attentively to what his patients tell him. He is always kind and attentive to his patients. They feel it and believe him, and it makes his work easier. I know that he wants to see all his patients able — bodied and I notice that he is happy when his patient is recovered.
My grandfather can also help if somebody catches a cold or has a fever. My grandfather told me a lot of true stories about doctors and their profession.
I love and respect my grandfather and want to become a doctor as well.

4 «My future profession»
“If you don’t think about your future, you can’t have one”, — I agree with these words said by John Galsworthy. I’m convinced that today everyone worries much about the problems of the future alongside with the problems of getting along with their family and friends. Of course, it is not simple to choose an occupation at my age. It is not an easy to choose a profession out of more than two thousand existing in the world.
We are well aware of the situation in our society and we realize that the situation around forces us to do well at school. It gives you a goal for working hard. The role played by school in our life is hard to overestimate. It teaches us many subjects and other important things, helps to discover special talents. I personally believe that a young person can better approach his future if he manages to widen his outlook while at school and the teachers expand to great extent the boundaries of our world. For sure, our minds should be enriched with a decent level of knowledge in the vast branches of science and humanities: maths, physics, foreign languages.
As for me, I like languages, and I consider that the choice of my occupation will be connected with them. I’d like to study languages not only because I found myself extremely keen on foreign places, culture and traditions. Nowadays, English is to be learned because it’s already become the international language, pushing aside French and German.
Nearly 50 % of all the companies in Europe communicate in English. 80 % of all information in the world’s in English. It’s the language of the United Nations. The latest ideas in medicine and science appear in special international magazines also in English. That’s because both of these subjects are now completely international, for doctors and scientists everywhere are trying to answer the same questions. Every pilot and ship’s captain has to speak English. It’s the language of the sky and the sea.
So, to be honest, I haven’t decided whom to become yet, still I know that my profession will be connected with the English language.

In early childhood children tell their parents whom they would like to be when they grow up. In school students begin thinking of their future profession. There are lots of professions in the world, and all of them are interesting and exciting. So it’s very hard to discover your vocation in life.
The choice of profession depends on your abilities. If you are good at humanities you should choose something in this field. And if you are good at natural sciences you should choose something closely connected with them. I would like to become a chemist because I like chemistry. I think that it is a very interesting subject, but I am not so good at it so I think that I am not suitable for this profession. In spite of all I possess some qualities which are needed in this field.
I think that my future profession will be closely connected with computers. I am capable to work with them, and I also possess the qualities needed in this work. They are accuracy, energy, carefulness. But I hesitate if I have enough patience. I must develop it if I want to become a computer operator. I know that it would be better to choose a profession of an interpreter or any other occupation connected with Russian and literature because I am good at these subjects but when I began to study the computer skills that were what I have been looking for. In our modern world it’s hard to do without computers. They are needed everywhere, and I hope that my interests in this subject will never change in spite of any circumstances.

When a person is graduated from school, it is time to make the most responsible step. By that time, everyone should find a sphere of activity that the person is interested in. Choosing a profession is an important step as you’ll dedicate much time and many efforts to the chosen occupation. Thus, it is important that the person’s character and capabilities meet the desired profession.
Everyone has definitely heard the statement: “find the occupation you like, and you won’t work a day in your life”. It means that if you’re satisfied with the chosen occupation, it will bring pleasure to you.
What do I expect from my future profession? I want to wake up in the morning without regrets and stress because I don’t like my job. I don’t want to count days till vacations. What points are important for me in the future job?
First of all, I want to have a creative profession. It means that I want to learn something new constantly. My future job should make me cleaver and pump my brain. Secondly, I’m a sociable person. I’m fond of communication with people. So, I want my occupation to be connected with people. Thirdly, I want to be useful for society. I think this is one of the crucial points. For me, it is important to understand that I make myself useful for the surrounding people.
I realize that it is difficult to make the right choice when you’re just 15 years old. However, taking into account these points, it is possible to find several suitable options. As for me, an architect is an excellent occupation. The job combines creativity, a rational approach, knowledge, and constant training. Designing new buildings, creating new layouts seem so exciting for me.
The second advantage of the occupation is its usefulness. I’ll create buildings for people to live or work in. I’ll be able to influence the appearance of a city with my own hands. I’ll please city dwellers by creating beautiful premises.
Still, this profession requires much knowledge and skills. It is necessary to study well and learn a lot of information. So, I have to work hard and pass my exams well. As a rule, I set goals and achieve them. I’m a purposeful person; so, I’m sure I succeed in my choice.

A lot of people think it’s not an easy profession and I agree with them. But I like to help people, it’s really important for me. I am a very reliable and conscientious person. I think it will help me in my future job. Moreover, I like to study biology. I know that I will need to learn a lot to become a good doctor. I’m a straight-A student, so I don’t have problems with self-discipline. I also know that this job requires big responsibility because people’s health depends on me.
My mother is a doctor; she works as a surgeon in a hospital. Mom dreamed of becoming a doctor from the very childhood, just like me. She graduated from the medical university. She always listens to what her patients say and always ready to help. She often gets tired, but the most important thing for her is the happiness and health of her patients.
I want to be as brave as my mother and to help people as a doctor even when they have no hope. I hope I will succeed.
Frequently we follow in the footsteps of our parents or heed the views of our friends. Sometimes we stick to the rules that the fashion makes. But these decisions are reckless – it’s important to find your own unique way.
I’ve already chosen my future profession. Personally, I decided that I would become a scientist. I never take the easy way, I take the one that includes a creative approach and makes me gain knowledge. I don’t like noisy environments and when I have a whole bunch of people around me and adore privacy – that’s why I can’t be an ordinary office worker or some sort of manager.
I dream to work as an independent unit, when nobody tells me what to do.
Why scientist? My mother says she wants me to become a successful lawyer, she thinks this job provides people with a lot of benefits. But I’m a sophisticated person and a bit introvert. I want to be useful for the society and the world in its global sense…
I prefer to study scholarly writings in philosophy and modern biology. Someday I’ll invent my own medicine that will heal all the mental and physical diseases.
Ready?
- finger – fingers
- tree – trees
- cat – cats
- box – boxes
- glass – glasses
- brush – brushes
- hero – heroes
- potato – potatoes
- tomato – tomatoes
- photo – photos
- piano – pianos
- tango – tangos
- studio – studios
- puppy – puppies
- fly – flies
- copy – copies
- basis – bases
- crisis – crises
- oasis – oases
Правильный вариант: men и women.
- ox – oxen
- child – children
- sheep – sheep
- fish – fish
- fruit – fruit
- aircraft – aircraft
- series – series
- There was a fruit on the plate. / There were some fruit on the plate.
- There is some money in the valley.
- Where are my favourite jeans? They must be on the chair.

Местоимения each, either, neither, another и все составные слова с компонентом –one, –body или –thing, всегда относятся к единственному числу.
Everybody was surprised when they saw him.
Give me your money!
This money is not mine!
My hair is not as long as I wanted.

Advanced?
CEFR (The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) 1 — Proficient User.
Independent User | Proficient User |

Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options. | Can understand a widerange of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Can express him/ herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices. |

Three, look at the bee!
Four, open the door!

Let’s go on a trip!
Let’s pack our bag!
Take your trainers,
Take your shoes.
Let’s go!
Take your skirt and take your shirt.
Let’s go!
Take your dress! Off we go!

What is red?
Asks little Fred.
His brother says,
The rose is red.
What is white?
My kite is white.
Do you see my little kite?
What is grey?
Now, can you say?
Yes, I can.
The mouse is grey.
What is black?
My cat is black. ‘
It goes out
And comes back.

The Most Pleasant Tree
From the very top of the tallest tree
A little breeze called down to me:
“Come up here and you will see
the things that are most pleasant to me.

How soon do the streams softly flow?
When do the first flowers gently blow?
Where do the strong winds suddenly go?
Why do the plants slowly grow?
I don’t know.
But the wind is blowing lightly.
The sun is shining brightly.
High up in the tree
A bird sings merrily.
And the streams will flow,
Flowers will blow
Winds will go,
Grasses will grow, even if I don’t know

Autumn Comes
I see the birds are flying south
And the days are grey and cool.
Do the birds look down and see
That I am going to school?

Fred comes from school one winter day
As clever as can be,
And wants to show to all around
How smart a boy is he.
And so at dinner he begins:
“Papa, you think you see
There are two chickens on that dish,
But now I’ll prove that there are three:
First, this is one and that is two,
As plain as plain can be.
I add the one into the two,
And two and one make three!”
“Just so,” answers his Papa,
“If what you say is three,
I will take one, Mamma takes one,
The third we’ll leave for you.”

It’s not always easy to keep yourself busy.
The homework is done, it’s fun!
The book is read and is given to Fred.
The cat is fed, but why is it sad?
The dishes are washed,
All films are watched.
It’s not always easy to keep yourself busy.

Shopping, shopping, Christmas shopping.
Mums are hurrying — running, hopping.
Presents, boxes everywhere,
Cards and crackers, teddy-bears,
Lots of useless pretty things:
Candles, tinsel, golden rings,
I’ve been doing shopping too.
Look at me: you’ll see it’s true:
Messy clothes and messy hair —
Christmas, Christmas everywhere

When I think of what I will be,
It is something that puzzles me.
When I am a grown man,
Shall I drive a lorry or a van?
Shall I be an electrician,
And fix everybody’s television?
When I think of what I’ll be,
It is something that puzzles me.

Sightseeing in London.
Forty cameras clicking, clicking,
Stamps on twenty postcards sticking.
Doing London in a day,
Seeing all and then away.
First the Thames and then the Tower.
Lots of time — another hour!

Buckingham Palace
See the tourists running hard
To watch the Changing of the Guard
At Buckingham Palace stop and wait,
To see the Queen drive through the gate.
But Londoners know:
There’s no use crying.
She is not at home,
When the flag is not flying.

The bells of spring are ringing,
Are ringing loud and gay.
To hills and forests they are bringing
Sweet melody today.
The bells of spring are ringing,
Are ringing far and wide.
Nice days they are bringing
To people and the countryside.

Sue eats vegetables and I feed her every day. I clean her cage every week. I like to take care of my pet.
I hope that one day my parents will buy me one more pet. I would like to get a rabbit on my birthday.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Стоял я, задумавшись, у поворота;
И больше, казалось мне, заросла;
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream-and not make dreams your master;
If you can think-and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings-nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And-which is more-you’ll be a Man, my son!
При том и критиков своих любя;
Не тщишься превосходство показать;
Ты с равной силой усомнишься в них;
Засохшим клеем скрепишь по кускам;
Ничем не дав понять, что пожалел;
Твердит: «Держитесь!», дабы им помочь;
Коль ценишь всех, без предпочтений, ты;
В 2003 году Эдриан Митчелл перед войной в Ираке вновь прочитал свои знаменитые строки из “To whom it may concern”:
I was run over by the truth one day.
Ever since the accident I’ve walked this way
So stick my legs in plaster
Tell me lies about Vietnam.
Heard the alarm clock screaming with pain,
Couldn’t find myself so I went back to sleep again
So fill my ears with silver
Stick my legs in plaster
Tell me lies about Vietnam.
Every time I shut my eyes all I see is flames.
Made a marble phone book and I carved out all the names
So coat my eyes with butter
Fill my ears with silver
Stick my legs in plaster
Tell me lies about Vietnam.
I smell something burning, hope it’s just my brains.
They’re only dropping peppermints and daisy-chains
So stuff my nose with garlic
Coat my eyes with butter
Fill my ears with silver
Stick my legs in plaster
Tell me lies about Vietnam.
Where were you at the time of the crime?
Down by the Cenotaph drinking slime
So chain my tongue with whisky
Stuff my nose with garlic
Coat my eyes with butter
Fill my ears with silver
Stick my legs in plaster
Tell me lies about Vietnam.
You put your bombers in, you put your conscience out,
You take the human being and you twist it all about
So scrub my skin with women
Chain my tongue with whisky
Stuff my nose with garlic
Coat my eyes with butter
Fill my ears with silver
Stick my legs in plaster
Tell me lies about Vietnam.
Моим любимым произведением Эдриана Митчелла является “The Castaways or Vote for the Caliban” Это веселое, потешное и в то же время тонкое философское стихотворение без рифмы.
A Pacific Ocean —
A blue demi-globe.
Islands like punctuation marks.
A cruising airliner;
Passengers unwrapping pats of butter.
A hurricane arises,
Tosses the plane into the sea.
Five of them, flung onto an island beach,
Survived.
Tom the reporter.
Susan the botanist.
Jim the high jump champion.
Bill the carpenter.
Mary the eccentric widow.
Tom the reporter sniffed out a stream of drinkable water.
Susan the botanist identified the banana tree.
Jim the high-jump champion jumped up and down and gave them each a bunch.
Bill the carpenter knocked up a table for their banana supper.
Mary the eccentric widow buried the banana skins, but only after they had asked her twice.
They all gathered sticks and lit a fire.
There was an incredible sunset.
Next morning they held a committee meeting.
Tom, Susan, Jim and Bill
Voted to make the best of things.
Mary, the eccentric widow, abstained.
Tom the reporter killed several dozen wild pigs.
Tanned their skins into parchment
And printed the Island News with the ink of squids.
Susan the botanist developed the new strains of banana
Which tasted of chocolate, beefsteak, peanut butter,
Chicken and boot polish.
Jim the high jump champion organized organized games
Which he always won easily.
Bill the carpenter constructed a wooden water wheel
And converted the water’s energy into electricity
Using iron ore from the hills, he constructed lamppost.
They all worried about Mary, the eccentric widow,
Her lack of confidence and her-
But there wasn’t time to coddle her.
The volcano erupted, but they dug a trench
And diverted the lava into the sea
Where it found a spectacular pier
They were attacked by the pirates but defeated them
With bamboo bazookas firing
Sea-urchins packed with home-made nitro-glycerin.
They gave the cannibals a dose of their own medicine
And survived an earthquake thanks to their skill in jumping.
Tom had been a court reporter
So he became a magistrate and solved disputes
Susan the Botanist established
A University which also served as a museum.
Jim the high-jump champion
Was put in charge of law enforcement-
Jumped on them when they were bad.
Bill the carpenter built himself a church,
Preached there every Sunday.
But Mary the eccentric widow…
Each evening she wandered down the island’s main street,
Past the Stock Exchange, the Houses of Parliament,
The prison and the arsenal.
Past the Prospero Souvenir Shop,
Past the Robert Louis Stevenson Movie Studios, past the Daniel Defoe Motel
She nervously wandered and sat on the end of the pier of lava,
Breathing heavily,
As if at a loss,
As if at a lover,
She opened her eyes wide
To the usual incredible sunset.

И пожелание «break a leg» было изначально лишь сокращенным «break a leg line» — то есть, выступить в спектакле и получить деньги за работу.
Homeric laughter —
Heel of Achilles —
«Et tu, Brute?»
To kill the goose that lays the golden eggs —
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush —
No pain, no gain —
Фразу «No pain, no gain» (досл.
Идиому «Once in a blue moon» часто переводят как «Когда рак на горе свистнет». А вот «Once in a blue moon» обозначает событие очень редкое, но при этом возможное.
В английском языке есть прекрасная пословица «People who live in glass houses should not throw stones».
There were many things he could do. He could climb a tree but that was putting all his eggs in one basket. If he were detected, they had nothing more difficult to do than wait.
Фразеологизм «That was putting all his eggs in one basket» перевели как «это слишком рискованно».

- Вы узнаете сразу много новых слов, которые, благодаря присутствию рифмы, не составляют трудностей в запоминании и освоении;
- Вы видите, как формируются предложения — знание каждого слова в отдельности меньше поможет в жизни, чем умение выразить мысль английскими словами;
Sun of the Sleepless!
Sun of the sleepless! melancholy star!
- Whose tearful beam glows tremulously far!
- That show’s the darkness thou canst not dispel,
The Red Rose whispers of passion,And the White Rose breathes of love; O, the Red Rose is a falcon, And the White Rose is a dove. But I send you a cream-white rosebud with a flush on its petal tips; For the love that is purest and sweetest
has a kiss of desire on the lips.
- If love is not worth loving, then life is not worth living,Nor aught is worth remembering but well forgot; For store is not worth storing and gifts are not worth giving,
- If love is not;
- And idly cold is death-cold, and life-heat idly hot, And vain is any offering and vainer our receiving,
- And vanity of vanities is all our lot.
- Better than life’s heaving heart is death’s heart unheaving, Better than the opening leaves are the leaves that rot, For there is nothing left worth achieving or retrieving,
- If love is not.
- Being your slave what should I do but tend,Upon the hours, and times of your desire?I have no precious time at all to spend;
- Nor services to do till you require.
- Nor dare I chide the world-without-end hour,Whilst I (my sovereign) watch the clock for you,Nor think the bitterness of absence sour,
- When you have bid your servant once adieu.

How Cruel Are The Parents |
How Cruel Are The Parents How cruel are the parents Who riches only prize, And to the wealthy booby Poor Woman sacrifice! Meanwhile, the hapless Daughter Has but a choice of strife; To shun a tyrant Father’s hate- Become a wretched Wife. The ravening hawk pursuing, The trembling dove thus flies, To shun impelling ruin, Awhile her pinions tries; Till, of escape despairing, No shelter or retreat, She trusts the ruthless Falconer, And drops beneath his feet. |
Jockie Has Taken The Parting Kiss |
Jockie has taken the parting kiss, Over the mountains he is gone, And with him is all my bliss — Nothing but grief with me remain. Spare my love, you winds that blow, Driven sleets and beating rain! Spare my love, you feathery snow, Drifting over the frozen plain! When the shades of evening creep Over the day’s fair happy eye, Sound and safely may he sleep, Sweetly blythe his awakening be! He will think on her he loves, Fondly he will repeat her name; For wherever he distant roves, Jockie’s heart is still at home. |
Hostess, Count The Reckoning. |
Then, hostess, count the reckoning, The reckoning, the reckoning! Then, hostess, count the reckoning, And bring a drink of ale more! Gone is the day, and dark is the night, But we will never stray for want of light, For ale and brandy is stars and moon, And blood red wine is the rising sun. There is wealth and ease for gentlemen, And simple folk must fight and fend (for themselves); But here we are all in one accord For every man that is drunk as a lord. My stoup (of ale) is a holy pool, That heals the wounds of care and sorrow, And Pleasure is a wanton trout: If you drink it all, you will find him out!
Little girl |

What did you say for it?Thank you, Grandam. |

Spring is coming, spring is coming, All around is fair; Shimmer, quiver on the river,Joy is everywhere. |

Thou hast me forsaken, Jamie, Thou hast me forsaken; Thou hast me forsaken, Jamie, Thou hast me forsaken; Thou canst love another jo, While my heart is breaking; Soon my weary een I’ll close, Never mair to waken, Jamie, Never mair to waken! |
It Was Not Her Lovely Blue Eyes |
It was not her lovely blue eyes was my ruin: Fair though she be, that was never my undoing. It was the dear smile when nobody did pay attention to us. It was the bewitching, sweet, stolen glance of kindness! Sore do I fear that to hope is denied me, Sore do I fear that despair must stay with me; But though cruel Fortune should fate us to sever, Queen shall she be in my bosom for ever. Chloris, I am thine with a passion sincerest, And you have plighted me love of the dearest, And you are the angel that never can alter — Sooner the sun in his motion would falter!

The Road Not Taken
https://englishfox.ru/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/The-Road.mp3
- Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could - To where it bent in the undergrowth.
- Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
- I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by, - And that has made all the difference.
- (Robert Lee Frost)
Стоял я, задумавшись, у поворота;

The end”
